They said, “You need to write a book.” And so I did. But first came the blog. Welcome. My name is Stacy. I’m glad you’re here.
But what I’m most passionate about is taking care of my loved ones which gets me to the heart of Stacy’s Flutterings. One of my daughters lives with bipolar disorder. She’s also a suicide survivor. I’m also a survivor. I’m a survivor as a parent of a child who lives with mental illness. I survived the moment I discovered her after her last near fatal suicide attempt, and I’m surviving parenthood now. And I have good news. There’s so much hope, no matter what we’re facing. Mental illness doesn’t define my daughter, myself or my family. It just happens to be a part of our story, a story I’m proud of.
There’s hope! Watch and see!
