We began assembly on the altar, and it went fairly well. In order to keep it very level and straight I decided to use the back of the nearby semi trailer. This worked out great! However, I mistakenly placed one shelf in the wrong position, and we have to figure out how to fix it. Big oops on my part…
Luckily we were only off the thickness of one shelf so we doubled the shelf thickness with one on top and the other on the bottom, this evened out the shelves and mistake fixed.
The Hill Family arrived on site and got to take a tour. It was wonderful to get to talk with everyone, and they promised to stop by Art World and visit some more. Everyone looks fantastic, and it was the first time I got to meet the boys and Gina’s Dad!
We also had another project to work on; custom planter boxes. These were a ton of fun to build, and each of us wants to build them for our own homes!
The Hill’s stopped by a number of times, and I showed them around Art World and got some great pictures. Chris decided to help me on Sunday, and it will be wonderful getting to know her better!
The altar is going together well, and we are hoping to finish it tomorrow!
